End of Year Newsletter - December 2011
Once again the year has absolutely flown by and what a year it has been! There have been some really tough times and challenges for our area following Cyclone Yasi and many are still rebuilding and feeling the effects of this major event. Thank goodness for yoga which helps to keep us grounded. Yoga instills a deep sense of peace and calm in the midst of chaos and uncertainty. Dealing personally with the death of my dear Mama has also been an experience in grief and dealing with such a huge loss. Yoga has helped me immensely to stay grounded and at peace with her passing. Meditation practice has been a real boon for me during this time. All of these life experiences have different things to teach us if we are open and willing to explore our inner selves, which is really the essence of yoga teachings. I take this opportunity to thank you all from my heart for your continual support and kind words of encouragement. To be able to teach yoga is such a joy and a constant source of inspiration, without your support this would not be possible. I am truly grateful for each and every one of you. This year I will be teaching four main classes a week in Mission Beach, Tully and Innisfail. Classes in Mission Beach will be on a Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9.30am to 11.00am. Tully will remain on Monday evenings at 6pm -7.30pm and Innisfail on Wednesdays 6pm - 7.30pm. Hopefully the Progress Hall in Mission Beach will be ready by the New Year. At this stage Tully classes will continue on at the Tully Mill Rec Hall and Innisfail at the Rowing Club. I am currently organizing some one day workshops in Mission Beach during the year. These workshops will replace the 3hr Yoga/Meditation workshops held in Innisfail and Ingham. I will forward details and dates of these workshops once they are finalized. The two day Paluma retreats this year were absolutely fantastic. Both retreats were well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by all. I have three retreats booked in for next year at Paluma. The first one will be held on 27th - 29th April and the second one on the 10th -12th August and the last one on the 16th-18th November. Lots of dates to choose from. Again numbers will be limited to 17 participants, so book in early. These Retreats are designed to deepen your understanding of yoga and meditation practice. Over the weekend we also have the opportunity to learn more about yoga psychology/physiology. This is a perfect location to rest, restore and renew. Because of the popularity of these Retreats, they do fill up fast so be sure to secure your place. If you would like to attend, let me know and I will pencil you in. Mark these dates in your calendars. A deposit of $170.00 for these retreats will secure your place and can be paid at any time. I will not hold places without a deposit. The price for catering and accommodation has gone up next year, I like to keep the the number of participants to 17. The price for the retreats for next year are $370.00. There is a discount of 10% for husbands/wives attending together. Payment plans are available, please see me if you would like to use this option. The details for registration are at the end of the newsletter. As a thank you gift to all my yoga students I am offering either a 45 minute massage, express Vitamin Therapy facial or a facial reflexology treatment for the special price of $35.00. This is valid until the end of March. Please mention this when you call to book. Treatments can be booked in from now until and including the 22nd December or from the 10th January next year. All regular yoga students are eligible for 10% discount at any other time of the year on all services, including gift vouchers. I am introducing a loyalty card for Beauty services with a free 30 min back/neck/shoulder massage after four treatments. (conditions apply). What about a gift voucher for Christmas. This is the perfect gift to pamper a loved one or friend. You can also gift a five class yoga pass or for that special treat a place on one of the Paluma Retreats! I have new menu's currently being printed and will have them available soon. I wish you all a very happy and safe Xmas and New Year. Enjoy your time off and travels if you are travelling and keep up a little regular yoga practice!
Thank you all once again.
Namaste
